Banking Financing Strategy of Fishing Sector Towards Finance Inclusive: SWOT Analysis (Case Study: Malang and Cirebon District)
Abstract
The purpose of this study is (1) identify the factors (internal and external) bank financing to the fisheries sector get causes banks would make him as a priority, (2) analyze the strengths and weaknesses of bank financing fishing sector, (3) study the opportunities and threats to the fishing sector so that the sector less attractive to banks, and (4) formulate policy strategies that can be use by banks. This research use SWOT analysis to mapping out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of bank financing fishing sector in Malang and Cirebon District. SWOT analysis in Malang and Cirebon District showed banks in both regions have different financing strategies. Malang District is in a position turn over strategy, so the alternative is to do them create a special credit for the fishing effort, improve marketing strategies, and improve banking education to fishermen. While Cirebon District in the position of an aggressive strategy with alternative strategies that can be done is to create or increase a credit program with several alternative collateral.
